MESSAGE TO SOUTH AFRICAN PSYCHOLOGISTS WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE AMERICAN PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION (APA)
Vote #1 for Beth Rom-Rymer for APA President-elect 2023 Voting Starts in September 2022
The PASACP Supports the Candidacy of Dr. Beth Rom-Rymer for President-Elect of the American Psychological Association (APA).
Our Association has had the privilege of interacting and collaborating frequently with Dr. Rom-Rymer since June 2021. She was the keynote speaker at the two-day International Conference on Prescriptive Authority for psychologists, which we hosted online from South Africa in October 2021.
We appeal to south African psychologists and elsewhere, who are members of the APA to vote #1 for her. The PASACP supports Dr. Rom-Rymer because of her strong support for prescriptive authority for psychologists across the globe. She is a founding member of the International Movement of Prescriptive Authority for Psychologists (IMPAP), and President of the Illinois Association of Prescribing Psychologists (2018-Present)
Dr. Rom-Rymer's leadership and contributions to the psychology profession go beyond her support for prescriptive authority.
